One of the more interesting developments in philanthropy in recent years is the "giving circle." These are composed of groups of friends who share an interest in helping civic and humanitarian endeavors of all kinds. In the same way that investment groups decide upon a particular stock or bond of interest, giving circles research and decide upon particular charities to support.
World Class welcomes the opportunity to inform such groups as to our mission and work. Where it's practical, we are happy to make a presentation in person. Where it's not, we can employ technology as a very adequate second best.
Recently, Barbara and I were pleased to attend a meeting of the "no name" giving circle in Louisville, Kentucky via Skype. Members of the group received the World Class brochure and were informed as to our website and blog addresses in advance. During our Skype visit, we talked at some length about our successes and challenges and responded to the great questions members asked. It was a very productive and interesting exchange.
If you are part of "giving circle," reading group, or some other group that would be interested in hosting a World Class presentation, please contact us. Send us an email at:
